North Port Behavioral Health Celebrates Upcoming Opening with Ribbon–Cutting Ceremony
North Port Behavioral Health, a new inpatient behavioral health hospital, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday, January 23, 2025.
Community members, local officials, and healthcare professionals joined to celebrate this milestone in increasing access to behavioral healthcare in the North Port area.
The event highlighted the upcoming opening of the 144-bed, state-of-the-art hospital in February 2025, showcasing the comprehensive services that will be available for residents of North Port and the surrounding communities. Attendees toured the facility, met staff, and learned about the types of care that will be offered.
“We’re honored to have the opportunity to bring patient-centered, evidence-based behavioral health treatment to North Port,” said North Port Behavioral Health CEO Casey Webb. “As we face an ever-growing need for psychiatric services, we want to help those in our community have access to the care they need at the moment they need it.”
At the time of its opening, North Port Behavioral Health will offer specialized inpatient programming for adults and seniors who are struggling with mental health concerns and co-occurring addictions. The team looks forward to expanding its services in the near future by adding inpatient programming for adolescents, as well as partial hospitalization programming (PHP) and intensive outpatient programming (IOP).
